Pride des Banlieues takes place this Saturday, June 7, 2025, to mark Pride Month, which highlights LGBTQIA+ people and their initiatives. Ahead of the Marche des Fiertés on June 28, the Pride des Banlieues is the biggest militant demonstration in Seine-Saint-Denis calling for rights for LGBT+ people in working-class neighborhoods. The march will start at 1pm from the La Courneuve - Aubervilliers RER station, and this year will be protesting against the destruction of the right to health for all, and in particular the decolonization of public health.
In 2024, the Pride des Banlieues brought together nearly 17,500 people, and in 2023 led to a bill to reduce inequalities in access to PMA. This year, the militant event is taking to the streets again, to make the voices of working-class neighborhoods heard and their representation in the public arena. The issue of access to housing and emergency accommodation will also be central, as LGBTQI+ people are still over-represented among the homeless.
After the march, take advantage of the associative village in Parc de la Liberté, before continuing the day for a wild and festive evening at Dock B, until midnight, free of charge for queer people from working-class neighborhoods and their allies, with a musical program featuring dozens of artists including Jahlys, Lalla Rami, Diana Kelly, Watrfall, DJ Kali Kalité, Siwa The Siren, and carte blanche for the Afro Queer Rising association.
This year, an after d'after is planned at the same venue until the end of the night alongside eight artists: DJ Cheetah, Lola Ondi Kwa, Ima ParisienneGyal, Anemone, La Motonia, Watrfall, DJ Malaureins and Adé.
